Checking in on you…

I thought I’d share this with you from Joseph Clough – master hypnotists.

It’s about working on AM- PM work to help you get the most out of your day.

We all spend too much time on social media sites, scrolling through emails (sorry) and reading material that only wastes our time instead of helping our time.

So this is where this bit of work comes in for you if you need some help staying focused and for some of you, staying strong with changes in your life.

Joseph explains that this work helps to send messages to your unconscious mind to reach full potential.

Our unconscious mind is very powerful to help succeed in sticking to a schedule, such as, making and eating good food choices, putting our sleep as priority and making sure we have adequate movement in the day.
It can also help us think in a more positive way and move in positive circles with work, and social situations.

Journaling in the morning:

The imagination part at the beginning of the day works because your mind can’t tell the difference between what is real and what is not, so experiencing the goodness in your imagination sends signals of positivity to the mind.

Some examples may be:
– Wait to answer any questions with good intentions, not to contribute to the negative in the story.
– Give two compliments today, from the barista making your coffee to the person at the checkout.
– To eat what you planned to eat, not snuck an extra treat in just because.

List what you know will make you feel good…

Journaling at night:

Checking in at the end of the day helps you see your progress so you don’t lose momentum. What we pay attention to expands.

Note each night the good stuff that happens, you’ll see a pattern emerge, and you’ll see your intentions and thoughts do positively influence your world.

This is not a time to be hard on yourself, it’s a time to be proud of yourself.
So it’s important when starting this process to only choose one or two things, and work from there.

The way this actually works is through a part of the brain stem known as the reticular activating system.
This area of the brain helps you focus on something that is relevant to you and tune out other stuff.

It’s this part of the brain that is working when, after you’ve decided to buy a certain kind of red car, you begin to notice that kind of car everywhere. That car has suddenly become very relevant. And so you see it.
This twice a day check in, via the reticular activating system, will eventually retrain your subconscious mind and brain – and begin to reprogram it.

I’ve always said that there’s more to just ‘diet and exercise’ to help you succeed in weight loss, or to feel good, and working with Joseph’s AM-PM style has proven to work.
