Turkey burger / turkey balls

* great burgers to satisfy hunger.

Makes 6 burgers or 18 turkey balls

500gm lean turkey mince
2 garlic cloves crushed
1 small onion finely diced
1 egg
½ cup raw quick oats
½ cup cranberry sauce or dried cranberries soaked
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
some rosemary leaves chopped
cracked pepper to taste
Cooking spray
Method


Combine all the ingredients into a mixing bowl, then shape into 6 patties and refrigerate for as long as you can before cooking.
cook on a medium heat frypan sprayed with oil for about 4 minutes each side.
*quick oats can be replaced with quinoa flakes so less carbohydrates.
*serve with brown rice and salad.
*serve in a wholemeal bun with salad.
*Perfect post training meal.
*turkey can be replaced with either chicken or pork mince.
*can freeze these burgers
*you can make smaller turkey balls to have with soups or anti-pasta dishes.
