Success – shop – cut – prep all in 2 hours

Number one answer I hear “I wasn’t organised, I don’t have time to prep”
So here is a suggestion….
When you do your grocery shop (add plastic storage containers in your list), block out two hours, first hour to complete shop, second hour to prep with some of the following examples:
In order:-
1. Boil 2 pots of water ready for some quinoa and brown rice.
2. Turn on oven for roasting vegetables.
3. Cut up vegetables for roasting and steaming; place half of them in oven.
4. Place the rice and quinoa into water to cook as per packet directions.
5. Start cutting up fruit, into snack pieces and place into storage containers. (easy to grab)
6. Make up egg mixture for quiche/frittata (you can use some of your roast vegetables when ready) – this can be for your breakfasts or a meal with the family.
7. Place cooked quinoa and rice in storage containers.
8. Steam left over vegetables and place in other containers ready to use throughout the week.
In this hour you have made your sides for your dinners and or lunches. Maybe make two frittatas’ and freeze one of them.
Simple tips to help you get organised to try to have a more successful week.
Don’t get too complicated, this is what will floor you and give up.
Ask for other tips if you need, only too happy to help.
