New Year – New Protocols
Learn some new health hacks …
When it comes to starting your new health focus – try to add different natural elements in.
If you use natural supplements or oils your body accepts these as they are not full of artificial substances that can put your body into a stress situation.
These are my recommendations and the reasons why they can be of benefit to you:
Grapefruit:
This oil helps with weight loss.
It helps curb unhealthy hungry cravings.
The bitterness of grapefruit helps your ghrelin hormone kick into gear.
Ghrelin is your hunger hormone – which we get confused about hunger these days because we are going by the dopamine want of sugar – not the true hunger of nutrient dense foods.
Inhaling grapefruit essential oils decreases food intake and stimulates lipolysis (breakdown of fats) and thermogenesis (use of calories to produce body heat).
Tips on how to use:
Place a drop in soda water and the carbonation will help you feel satiated and the grapefruit will add a nice fat-burning flavour enhancement.
Lavender:
Here’s the sleep master!!
This oil will help sleep and sleep is the game changer to weight loss and of course improving energy.
Using lavender (night) and grapefruit (day) is a perfect combination.
Lavender helps your parasympathetic properties (rest and digest), it slows things down.
So using these both (lavender and grapefruit) you are going to regular your metabolism and internal organs such as the heart, intestines and stomach.
Tips on how to use:
Use roller bottle with carrier oil to apply to temples and inner elbows (thinnest skin area) to get into your system – usually effective within 90 seconds.
Diffuse in room before and whilst you are getting to sleep
If you nail your sleep – you’re well in the way to better health!
Digest Zen:
(Anise, peppermint, ginger, caraway, coriander, tarragon and fennel oils)
This little bomb helps to:
– aid bloating
– help the digestive process
– eliminate the excess dairy that could make your stomach squirm
– helps those that need assistance with travel sickness
– gives you a lift with the peppermint and nurtures the stomach with the ginger properties.
Tips on how to use:
Add a drop to your water or place some in a roller with carrier oil and rub on stomach.
*side note if you can’t do the ‘apple cider vinegar ‘ thing – then this is your answer
Smart and Sassy:
(Grapefruit, lemon, peppermint, ginger and cinnamon bark)
*fat burning bomb
This number covers your cravings whilst nurturing your stomach.
The cinnamon helps keep blood sugar levels more stable preventing those naughty snacks.
January is a time for detoxing the right way and this oil blend will help.
People can detox in a very harsh way, but using this as a detox with grapefruit and lemon but having the pick my up and anti nausea peppermint is smart.
The ginger nurtures your stomach and as I mentioned the cinnamon will level your blood spikes out.
Tips on how to use:
Place a drop in your water or again diffuse whilst working away to help keep you stable and not do laps around your fridge or pantry
