Indian lamb burger
* tasty lean burgers.
Makes 6 burgers
500 gm lean lamb mince
1 egg 1 tsp cumin
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric
2 tsp chilli powder (if you like hot)
1 tsp crushed ginger
1 tsp crushed garlic
2 tbls lemon juice
1 tbls olive oil
3 tbl chopped fresh coriander or 2 tbls dried coriander
1 tbls natural yoghurt
1 small onion finely chopped
¼ cup quinoa flakes or quick oats
sea salt and black pepper
Cooking spray
Method
Combine all the ingredients into a mixing bowl
Season with pepper and salt cook on a medium heat frypan sprayed with oil for about 4 minutes each side.
*homemade tatziki dressing goes well with this (natural yoghurt, finely chopped garlic and cucumber and squirt lemon juice)
*serve with brown rice and salad.
*serve in a wholemeal bun with salad.
*Perfect post training meal.
*lamb can be replaced with either chicken or beef mince.
