Today’s advice about looking after your health:
Artificial sweeteners
Wayne was a huge consumer of Pepsi Maxx. He would drink this in high amounts each day. ( I wish he drank water like he drank his Pepsi Maxx).
People think that drinking a ‘no’ or ‘low’ calorie drink is better for them!!!
UMM NO!!!
The artificially sweetened drinks are full chemicals that your body does not know what to do with them.
‘Counting calories’ is so yesterday! – so why do you bother worrying about the ‘calorie content’.
Artificial sweeteners raise your insulin levels higher than it would with natural sugar, making you crash harder, with the ripple effect of:
1. wanting more sugar more often.
2. wanting a more sweetened product because your sweet palate has increased.
3. your energy levels are all over the place, creating bad food choices.
4. affects your sleep, making you wake tired, therefore setting up the day ahead with bad food choices.
Wayne would drink Pepsi Maxx day and night, he would reach for high sugared foods, refined foods and wouldn’t know when to stop because his Ghrelin and Leptin hormones were totally screwed up, his sweet palate was sky high, and nothing would suffice!
This is one of the many reasons I do not allow my children to drink soft drinks – I don’t care if people judge me on this – I allow my children to have home made bake goods, chocolate at times and lollies but I draw the line at soft drinks and artificial sweeteners.
Please tip out your diet drinks, and any soft drink for that matter. Stop drinking your calories!
Throw out your packaged products that contain any artificial sweeteners, numbers, colouring etc.
Your body was not designed to process these. These put a STRESS on your body, and what did I say about STRESS yesterday.
Just eat real food – nourish your one and only body.
I ask you to fill a glass with water and then raise them “here’s to Wayne- O” ❤
