Food is information
“If you want to get to the root causes of what is going on inside your gut, you need to look at what you’re putting at the end of your fork. Food is information” – Dr Vincent Pedre, Happy Gut.
This book is written very well for people to get an understanding of how our bodies react to foods, how to be able to eliminate foods to work out how to know which foods may be giving you grief and causing pain such as headaches, migraines, insomnia, dark circles under your eyes, ear infections, nasal congestion, frequent colds, chronic cough, nausea, heartburn, acne, hair loss, hair thinning, excessive sweating, chest pain, asthma, achy joints, arthritis, achy muscles are many symptoms for an unhappy gut.
Nutrition is the key to so many symptoms, but we seem to put it down to work, busy life, kids, stress etc, but amongst that we are not fueling our bodies correctly, for some of us we are putting the wrong fuel into our bodies. You know when you put unleaded fuel in a car that is meant to run on diesel – it simply stops and you have to have the fuel tank pumped. Well think of that inside you, there comes a time when your body needs certain fuel and doesn’t run the same as before.
It doesn’t mean you miss out, it means you run on different fuel.
Research has shown that IBS and migraines both can be triggered by the immune reactions to foods that a person may be consuming regularly.
If you are sensitive to foods and continually consume them, in combination with a leaky gut or hyperpermeable gut, leads to fluid retention and inflammation and, as a result, weight gain.
In this book it talks about Gluten and how you need to be aware of what some manufactures do to this product in packaged form. It also talks about Soy and how we have again gone overboard with Soy products and how our bodies can’t handle high dosages.
We also tend to go mainstream medicine whenever a problem arises, and as we know with anything, you become immune to these products and this can affect immune reactions again.
Not everyone is gluten intolerant, but it’s always good to learn what in fact wheat can do to our systems and also how damaging sugar is to our bodies. The world is forever evolving and new products and fads are always popping up, but so to is good hard facts and research which should not be ignored.
Your health is very important and so is longevity. You don’t have to live with continuous aches and pains, when the answer could be to simply remove a certain type of food from your diet.
