The best programs are designed individually…

This time of year so many people are trying to find a program or change of eating lifestyle;

and a majority of people choose these based on others/likes/followers/price/judgement of others…

When selecting a program please consider the following:

Is this suitable for your lifestyle?

If you are a shift worker, or you have restricted times to get a workout in, does this program suit you without adding more stress to you?

If it’s going to add more stress – then this will not help you lose weight and increase energy.

Does the nutrition plan have set meals?

If the nutrition component is giving you your exact meals and snacks, then this is not a very individualized program.
When you are given a meal plan, how do you learn what’s good for you and why? What do you do at the end of the program? Will you understand how to construct healthy meals without adding the weight back on???

We are all different, we all respond to different foods, so why are you eating the same as 6ft John?
If you are a 5ft 4 woman that has a 3 young children, why are you eating the same as John who works as a shift worker on the roads?

You may be eating less than him, but why are you eating the same meals as him?

Does this make sense to you?

Do you HAVE to do 4 workouts or more each week?

If the emphasis is on the amount of workouts to obtain your goals, then I question the program…
To achieve your HEALTH goals first, will then help your mind and body shape to follow.

There is MORE to a program than just exercise.

Does the program offer one on one time?

Many programs get you in the door, assign you to a ‘group’ of people and off you go…
Does the program offer one on one time with a coach to help YOU.
Is there time for you to give your back story to ensure that prior injuries, mental stability, current lifestyle concerns are adhered to?

There is always a back story as to why you are frustrated, upset, concerned for you health. Hence why you want to start a program and ‘get back on track’.

“Don’tĀ  just set a goal, set yourself a reward for that goal”

People generally get caught up in the finish line, and do not focus on the process or beyond the finish line.

It is very important that each person when starting a program, new journey, should always explain the history to the coach or instructor.

When you are putting your HEALTH into someone else’s hands, it is duty of care for the coach to understand any previous roadblocks, injuries, prior attempts – to prior incomplete attempts.

We are not sheep, we are all individual and have plans to conquer a new journey for a reason, season or a lifetime/life change.

Be careful on what you decide to take on, and always remember the old saying “you get what you pay for”.

I’m all for everyone improving their health and wellbeing, but always in the right way.

My business model and programs do not suit everyone, and that’s fine, I just hope each person finds what resonates with them.

Not all health journey’s need to be intense, for some it’s gentle movement, for others it can be more intense movement, but no matter what style you pick, be sure to focus on recovery and repair, mental state and balance in your life.
