#2weeksout

Good things come to those that wait………………

Woo Hoo 2kg weight loss in a week!! Trust the process, trust the process…oh my do I now trust the process!!!!

I’m on track, I’m in the zone and I’m pumped. Tired but pumped at the same time ( like an outer body experience feeling).

This week I have been still focused and loving every training session. Fasted cardio session each morning and then a weights session mid morning. Come Friday though my energy level had dropped and the stepper session felt very long. However in saying that – as soon as I have finished the session I feel pumped (maybe knowing I’m one session closer to the stage?)

My food is still satisfying me as in I’m not gagging on what I’m eating. I keep it flavoured up with lemon juice or balsamic vinegar. Next week there will be a change in protein source, as I will be cutting down the chicken to 1 serve a day, but increasing the fish servings to 4 a day. This is so I can lean a bit more and this is because it’s what my body responses with, this isn’t for everyone. Each individual has to work out what works for them. I did get hungry more by the end of the week; maybe it’s the tiredness setting in as well?

Every Sunday I allow myself to sleep in, and I average 11 -12 hours sleep on this day, I need it for the mind and body. This is the only day I rest, maybe a walk that’s it and no protein shake. The five meals are adequate due to not being awake at 4.45am, I do not need, nor would I have time to fit in 5 – 6 meals. I am having a meal every 2.5 – 3 hours and therefore not getting too hungry. Another thing I do every Sunday is float in a bath of Epsom salts. I need my muscles to relax and be ready for the week ahead. Lying there in the bath also gives me time out and my mind feels good that I’m giving my muscles such well needed recovery.

My food diary is updated every day and I average per day:
1625 cals breaking that down to
60% protein
20% carbs
20% fats
37gm fibre

Water 5 litres which includes approx 4 x green detox tea and 3 x black coffees. Protein shake is not included in the water intake, but each shake would be 500mls of water.

It’s amazing that each day I consume the same foods, my workouts are about the same intensity and I’m still dropping weight. My body is catching up to what I am doing and every bit of fuel I’m putting in my body is being used. I’m far from starving myself, and it goes to show you still lose weight. My shoulders have popped out, my abs are leaning down and now the legs are starting to lean down and the quads are popping out. A good friend of mine whom competes in the fitness section, reminded me to enjoy the process, and to not stress out. It’s over before I know it and the weeks I have put my all into this is really paying off. Ok I may not be able to have my fruit and yoghurt, but in 20 days I can. I’m proud of what will power I have had to get this far. On the weekend I found a raspberry lolly in my backpack, ARGGHHH is one of my favourite lollies, but I threw it into a garden so I couldn’t eat it! Yes extreme, but the voice of my coach “it’s all or nothing” really got me to focus! I’m nearly there and “all good things come to those that weight ..WAIT!!” hehe
