Caramelish protein slice
* top protein treat.
serves 10
Base:
2/3 cup almond meal
2/3 cup shredded coconut (organic if possible so no preservatives)
2/3 cup flaxseed – grounded
4 tbls vanilla/chocolate protein powder
2 tbls coconut oil
2 tbls nut butter (any sort you like)
2 tbls chia seeds
¼ cup water
Topping:
4 tbls almond butter
1-2 tbls coconut oil
20g dark choc bits
Method
Grease small loaf tin with baking paper (about 7 x 22cm)
To make base:
– melt the oil, and nut butter in saucepan, add to the dry ingredients and mix then add water until all ingredients a bit sticky.
Tip into loaf tin and press down firmly, place in fridge until topping is ready.
To make topping:
– melt all the ingredients together then pour over the base.
*Keep in fridge for few days or better stored in freezer.
*Nice to take for a morning or afternoon tea.
