Brussel sprouts and bacon
*super yum side dish.
Serves 4
20 brussel sprouts cut in half lengthways
4-5 rindless bacon chopped
1 tsp olive oil
2 tsp lemon zest and juice
Method
Heat oil in frypan and place brussel sprouts face down and cook for a few minutes, then transfer into a steam basket over boiling water for a further 4 mins.
Now add the bacon to the frypan and cook up until crisp.
Once brussel sprouts are just soft mix in with bacon and add the lemon zest and juice then serve.
*Serve with lean meat or chicken
